Renee Deehan

Renée Deehan is SVP of Science and AI at InsideTracker, where she leads the science and AI behind a personalized health platform used by over 100K people. Her work is focused on developing trustworthy AI, specifically building systems where every health recommendation is explainable and grounded in peer-reviewed evidence rather than a black box. She has pioneered the use of neurosymbolic AI in consumer health, an approach that combines the interpretability of white-box, knowledge-based systems with the pattern-recognition power of LLMs, with results from her team already published in peer-reviewed publications on real-world health outcomes. Prior to InsideTracker, she held executive roles at QuartzBio, PatientsLikeMe, and Selventa. She received her Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology and a B.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania in Bioengineering.
