Roberta Crialesi

Roberta Crialesi is a senior statistician and Research Director at the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), where she leads the Division for the Integrated System of Health, Social Care and Social Security Statistics. With over 30 years of experience in official statistics, her work focuses on the development of integrated data systems to support the analysis of population health and social conditions.
Her expertise covers health and social statistics, as well as cause-of-death statistics, with a strong focus on population ageing, health inequalities, lifestyles, urban health, disability, social inclusion, healthcare systems, and welfare.
Over the course of her career, she has played a central role in advancing the production and integration of official statistical information to support evidence-based policymaking, both in Italy and within the broader European Statistical System.
