Fabrizio Natale leads research on demography at the Demography and Migration Unit of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. His team provides scientific support for policy development on demographic issues within the mandate of Commissioner Dubravka Šuica.
His work examines demographic change in the EU and globally, and its implications for health systems, long‑term care, labour markets, territorial cohesion, urbanisation in developing countries, and climate change.
