Scientific Director at Fondazione per il Futuro delle Città, working at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy, with responsibility for shaping the Foundation’s scientific and strategic agenda.

Professor of Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition at the University of Pavia and clinician at ICS Maugeri IRCCS, with a background in clinical nutrition, lifestyle medicine, public health and translational research.

My work focuses on the intersection of urban futures, health and wellbeing, food systems, biodiversity, planetary health and lifestyle-based prevention strategies, with particular attention to the science–policy interface and evidence-informed decision making.

I am committed to fostering interdisciplinary research, institutional collaboration and international partnerships to support healthier, more resilient and sustainable cities, promoting prevention, wellbeing and health across the life course.
