Jean-Yves Minet

Jean-Yves Minet joined Accor in 2024 as Global Brand President, Midscale & Economy. Jean-Yves oversees a diverse brand portfolio including ibis, ibis Styles, ibis budget, greet, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, TRIBE, and Novotel. He is an Executive Committee member of Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy Division. Jean-Yves possesses over 25 years of executive and operational experience in brand building, from strategy to execution with P&L responsibilities. He forged his career in the beauty industry, focusing on high growth opportunities for global brands, across categories, distribution channels, consumers, and regions, with a deep expertise in emerging markets.

In his role as Brand President, Jean-Yves focuses on driving brand growth by leading the brand vision, positioning, and operating model of Accor’s economy and midscale brands, catering to a diverse and global traveler audience.

Prior to his time at Accor, he spent 13 years at The Estée Lauder Companies, and various marketing and strategic growth roles with global leaders such as McKinsey & Company, L’Oréal, and Omnicom.

Jean-Yves graduated from ESSEC business school and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Fluent in English, French, and Italian, Jean-Yves is originally from France and has spent the last 17 years in New York. He now resides in Paris with his young daughter. An avid traveler, Jean-Yves is also a passionate cook and ballroom dancer.
