10:00 - 10:45
STAGE: HUMANITY
PEOPLE & SOCIETY
The Human Exposome: From Longevity Biotech to Designed Exposure
Panel
Media, Culture & Leisure
This session explores one of the most important shifts emerging in longevity science: the growing understanding that healthspan is shaped not only by biology or medicine, but by the totality of the environments we live in. From air quality and food systems to stress, relationships, meaning, and emotional experiences, the “human exposome” is redefining how we think about ageing and prevention.
Bringing together scientists, technologists, investors, and systems thinkers, the conversation examines how psychosocial and environmental exposures influence inflammation, resilience, cognition, and long-term wellbeing, often with effects that rival or exceed those of pharmaceuticals and supplements. As the science evolves, a new question emerges: can we intentionally design healthier exposures at scale?
The session will also explore how experiences such as joy, connection, belonging, and purpose can be measured as part of health itself. Through the lens of the JoyScore Experiment, panellists will discuss the emerging tools and frameworks linking emotion, social interaction, and biological markers, opening new possibilities for designing cities, technologies, workplaces, and cultural experiences that actively support human flourishing and longevity.
