Professor Andrea Maier is a thought leader on optimizing health of individuals across the lifespan. She is based now at the Centre for Healthy Longevity, at the National University of Singapore (NUS) where she is professor of medicine.
Professor Maier’s work focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of aging, age-related diseases, and how lifestyle interventions, including diet and exercise, can slow down the aging process. She is also passionate about translating scientific research into practical, evidence-based strategies that help individuals live healthier, longer lives.
In addition to her academic work, Professor Maier holds several leadership roles, including serving as the founding director of Chi Longevity, a company focused on longevity research and applied wellness. She is also involved with multiple research institutes across the globe, collaborating on innovative projects related to aging and longevity
She has been a Professor of Geriatrics at the Vrije Universiteit Medical Centre in Amsterdam and a leading researcher in the field of aging, she is committed to advancing our understanding of how aging impacts the human body and how we can optimize healthspan, the period of life spent in good health.
