Carlo Ratti is a Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he directs the Senseable City Lab—a research group exploring how digital technologies are transforming the way people live, move, and interact in urban environments. Trained as an architect and engineer at the Politecnico di Torino and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris, and holding a PhD from Cambridge University, he bridges design, engineering, and data science. He was named by Blueprint magazine as one of the 25 most innovative architects of our time, and his work has been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale and MoMA, New York. He chairs the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Cities and Urbanisation and is a leading global voice on the intersection of urban design, technology, and sustainability.
