Catalina Valencia

Catalina Valencia is currently Director of Community and Major Events at KM ZERO Food Innovation Hub, a global community of change-makers driving the transformation of the food system through knowledge, open innovation, and high-value gatherings. A Social Communication graduate, she holds master’s degrees in Communication Management and Human-Centered Innovation.

With over 20 years of experience in journalism, corporate communications, and community building, she has led the development and strengthening of KM ZERO’s ecosystem since 2018, connecting corporations, startups, investors, media, and public institutions. She is also the coordinator of ftalks Food Summit, the congress on the future of food organized by KM ZERO in Valencia and Mexico City.

Catalina mentors international initiatives such as Impaqto Agrifoodtech for Women (Ecuador), MassChallenge (Switzerland), Start Startups (Spain), and Talent Pitch (Colombia). She also served as Director of Startup Europe Awards (European Commission and Finnova Foundation) from 2015 to 2018. In 2016, she was recognized by the Valencia City Council as the individual who most actively promotes the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
