Emanuele Di Angelantonio

Head of the Health Data Science Centre at the Human Technopole in Milan and Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Cambridge, Emanuele works on big data analysis applied to the study of cardiometabolic diseases, blood donors, and risk prediction. After specialising in internal medicine in Rome, he obtained a Master’s degree in medical statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Cambridge. During his career, he has held senior positions at the University of Cambridge, the NHS Blood and Transplant, the European Society of Cardiology, and the World Health Organisation. He is the author of more than 300 studies published in prestigious journals, including Lancet, JAMA and New England Journal of Medicine. Emanuele is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, of the Royal College of Physicians of London, of the European Society of Cardiology and of the American Heart Association.
