

Federico Serra
President

Federico Serra was elected President of the Health City Institute (HCI) in September 2025, succeeding founding President Prof. Andrea Lenzi, who was appointed President of Italy's National Research Council (CNR). HCI is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit health think tank dedicated to studying the determinants of health in urban environments. Serra previously served as Secretary General of HCI and holds extensive national and international roles: he is a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House, London), President of YMCA Italia, and Secretary General of the Observatory on Health as a Common Good at the Università Cattolica. He was the first Italian and first European to serve as Global President of the International Public Policy Advocacy Association (IPPAA) and now leads its EMEA region. He is also a Senior Government Affairs & Institutional Communication Advisor and founder of LastMile Solutions.
