

Giuseppe Turchetti

Giuseppe Turchetti is Full Professor of Business Economics and Management and Pro‑Rector for Relations with Enterprises, Institutions and the Territory at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. He graduated in Economics from the University of Pisa and was a student of the Sant’Anna School, where he also earned his PhD in Management.
He has studied and conducted research at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago), and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (Chicago). He is a Fulbright Research Scholar, Senior Fellow at the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy, and co‑founder of several innovative start‑ups.
His main research interests include: innovation management; the economics and management of firms in the financial, insurance and biomedical sectors (pharma, medical devices, biotech, e‑health); advanced strategy and marketing; and neuromarketing.
He contributed to the conception and scientific coordination of the International Robotics Festival held in Pisa since its first edition. He participates in and/or coordinates numerous national and international research projects funded by companies, national and international institutions, and the European Commission.
He is the author or editor of twenty books (the most recent: Maggioni, M., G. Turchetti (2024), Economia e Gestione delle Imprese di Assicurazione, Il Mulino, Bologna) and more than three hundred scientific articles and book chapters.
