Joshua Freedman is CEO of Six Seconds, the world's first and largest organization 100% dedicated to emotional intelligence. A researcher, author, and Master Certified Coach (ICF-MCC), he has worked with organizations including FedEx, P&G, the United Nations, and Boston Scientific across 25+ nations. His most recent publication, "The Emotional Recession" (Frontiers in Psychology, 2025), documents global declines in emotional intelligence and their impact on workforce resilience. Josh's 8th book is called Emotion Rules: The Science and Practice of Emotional Wisdom; he also leads the ongoing State of the Heart research, the world's largest study of emotional intelligence.
