Paolo Capodoglio

Paolo Capodaglio received M.D. degree from the University of Pavia, Italy, and his Specialty in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine from the same University. Former Professor in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Torino, he is now Professor at the University of Milan, Italy and Director at the Istituto Auxologico Italiano IRCCS of the Musculoskeletal and Metabolic Rehabilitation Unit in Milan and the Laboratory for Research in Biomechanics and Rehabilitation in Piancavallo, Italy. His research interests are in the area of functional evaluation in ageing and pathological conditions (neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, obesity and metabolic conditions) and in the validation of novel rehabilitation interventions (i.e., clinical applications of whole-body cryostimulation, combined nutrition and exercise interventions). He published more than 310 papers on peer-reviewed journals and 10 monographic books and serves as a reviewer for several indexed papers. He is Chair of the Special Interest Group in rehabilitation of Metabolic Conditions of the European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and member of the Scientific Committee of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
