Sharon Cittone is a global systems leader whose work bridges food innovation, climate resilience, and population health. Recognized by Forbes as one of the most powerful women shaping the future of food, she has spent more than a decade advising founders, corporates, investors, policymakers, and institutions on how to build stronger, more resilient systems.
She is the CEO and Executive Director of the Milan Longevity Summit, where she is guiding the event’s evolution into a global platform that brings together Nobel Laureates, CEOs, scientists, investors, and cultural leaders to explore how innovation and policy can improve societal wellbeing through a One Health lens.
Sharon is also the Founder and CEO of Edible Planet Ventures, an ecosystem platform accelerating the transition to a regenerative, equitable, and future-ready food system. She hosts the FoodTech Junkies Podcast, where she interviews global leaders shaping the future of food and sustainability.
Her industry engagement spans a wide range of advisory and governance roles. She is is Vice President of BrainCircle Italia, a founding board member of AgrifoodTech Italia and the Complementary Protein Alliance, contributes to United for Regeneration - Now Partners, and serves on the World Agriculture Forum Council. She advises APAC’s BeanstalkAg, sits on the Advisory Board of World Food Programme Italia, and contributes to the Catella Foundation’s BAM - Biblioteca degli Alberi.
Sharon mentors emerging founders through Rockstart Agrifood, the EIC Scaling Club powered by Bpifrance, Open Food Chain, 4Ward VC’s climate-tech ecosystem, and advises multiple investment funds. She also champions gender equity as the G100 Global Chair for Food Innovation.
In academia, she teaches in the Master's program in agrifood and sustainability at the European Institute for Innovation and Sustainability (EIIS).
