Affi is the founder and CEO of Freda Health, a UK–UAE femtech company developing sustainable period care and diagnostic technologies that turn the menstrual cycle into a powerful health signal across a woman’s lifespan. She leads the EU Horizon–funded SensoPad project, a smart menstrual pad that detects early biomarkers of endometriosis and reframes menstrual blood as an accessible biosample for preventive and longevity-focused care. Drawing on her work tackling period stigma and access through Freda’s hospitality and corporate programmes, Affi advocates for menstruation as the “fifth vital sign” and for integrating menstrual diagnostics into mainstream longevity and women’s health pathways.
