Alessandro Monticelli is CEO & Founder of Green Independence, a deeptech startup developing decentralized solutions to accelerate the energy transition.

An engineer and entrepreneur, he combines technical expertise with strategic vision to advance a more resilient and accessible energy model. His work focuses on the integration of energy, water, and sustainable infrastructure as essential pillars for long-term quality of life and community resilience.

Before founding Green Independence, he built his career at GE, where he worked across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain roles within the aviation and renewable energy sectors, gaining experience in product industrialization and complex systems development.

Driven by the belief that innovation must create tangible impact, he chose to build his company in Southern Italy, contributing to local development and the growth of new industrial ecosystems.

Today, he is committed to shaping a new paradigm in which sustainability, autonomy, and access to resources become key drivers not only for the energy transition, but also for the long-term well-being and longevity of social and economic systems.
