The First Thirty

Amy holds a degree in Biological Sciences and qualified as a medical doctor in the UK, going on to specialise in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine. Working at the sharp end of critical care gave her a front-row seat to the consequences of chronic disease and a growing conviction that medicine, by the time it intervenes, is often too late.
She moved into food and agriculture believing that the most powerful levers for human longevity sit upstream of the clinic entirely. She now works at The First Thirty, a venture capital firm built around their Agrihealth thesis: agriculture and food can serve as human health delivery systems, shaping outcomes at a population scale. Her work focuses on validating that thesis and identifying the companies, technologies and food systems capable of making it a reality.
