Arnstein Aassve

Arnstein Aassve is a Norwegian Full Professor of Demography at the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University, Milan. He is the Principal Investigator of FutuRes – Towards a Resilient Future of Europe, a Horizon Europe collaborative research project examining how ageing societies can build resilience across families, labour markets, and pension systems. He has published widely across demography, sociology, economics, public health, and applied statistics, and has worked closely with EUROFOUND on trends in trust, social cohesion, and economic and political discontent. He currently directs the PhD in Social and Political Science at Bocconi. He was awarded an ERC Starting Grant in 2007 and an ERC Advanced Grant in 2016, and has served as ERC panel chair for starting grants. He is a co-founder of the interdisciplinary Alp-Pop Conference.
