Ivan Ortenzi
Chief Innovation Evangelist

Ivan Ortenzi is a recognized expert in strategy, innovation, and sustainability, with experience across management consulting, academia, content creation, and public speaking. He challenges the belief that innovation is mainly technological, framing it as cultural evolution driven by better questions that unlock new strategies, business models, and durable impact. His work focuses on changing how organizations think, not only what tools they adopt.
He is Chief Innovation Evangelist at BIP, a multinational consulting firm with Italian roots operating in 14 countries and more than 7,000 employees. Previously, he led Ars et Inventio’s growth into a recognized corporate innovation consultancy, acquired by BIP in 2012 to strengthen its innovation practice. That entrepreneurial path shaped his method: reframe the strategic question before prescribing solutions, because problem definition determines the quality of innovation and sustainability outcomes.
Since 2010, he has founded and served as Scientific Director of the MIM, Master in Innovation Management at 24ORE Business School, and teaches Strategy and Innovation Management across leading Italian institutions and corporate academies. He holds an Executive Master in Corporate Sustainability (London Business School) and an Executive Master in Open Innovation (ESADE). He is the author of La formula della Sostenibilità Aziendale (2024), Innovazione + Management (2020), and Innovation Manager (2018), and co-author of books on technology, ethics, and artificial intelligence. Selected among Italy’s Digital Board Ready Members, he writes on work and AI and applies his frameworks across sectors, including sports.
Through consulting, academia, publishing, and platforms such as YouTube and the FutureProof podcast on Spotify, he reinforces a consistent thesis: lasting innovation comes from asking better questions.
