Kristin Schneeman

Kristin Schneeman is Senior Director at the FasterCures, part of the Milken Institute, where she leads initiatives to accelerate biomedical research, strengthen innovation ecosystems, and improve the translation of scientific discovery into real-world health impact.

With more than 30 years of experience across public policy, academia, and media, Schneeman brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the future of health innovation. Her work focuses on advancing patient-centered research models, fostering collaboration across sectors, and developing new approaches to funding and scaling medical breakthroughs. She has been instrumental in initiatives such as the Research Acceleration and Innovation Network (TRAIN), which supports venture philanthropy and more efficient pathways from discovery to delivery.

Earlier in her career, she held senior roles in U.S. public service and academic institutions, including advisory positions connected to national policy and research programs at Harvard University. She began her professional journey as an Emmy Award–winning documentary producer, an experience that continues to inform her approach to storytelling and engagement in complex scientific and policy environments.

Her work today centers on reshaping how biomedical innovation is funded, governed, and delivered, with the goal of building more collaborative, inclusive, and impact-driven health systems.
