Lorenzo Wittum

Lorenzo Wittum is the President and Chief Executive Officer of AstraZeneca Italia. He joined AstraZeneca after holding senior roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AstraZeneca (2013–2016). He holds an MBA from IESE Business School (2003–2005). Under his leadership, AstraZeneca Italia relocated to MIND – Milano Innovation District, becoming the first private company to establish its headquarters there, with the stated ambition of accelerating health innovation through public-private synergies. He has been a prominent voice on life sciences policy and public-private partnership in Italy, and has engaged with the Italian government and national health institutions on pandemic preparedness, vaccine supply, and health system resilience.
