Dr Valeria Ricotti is a clinician-scientist, entrepreneur, and CEO & Co-Founder of Vesalic, a UK-based biotechnology company developing transformative diagnostics and therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases, starting with ALS.

Her work sits at the intersection of clinical neurology, translational science, and biotechnology innovation. At Vesalic, she is leading the development of a novel therapeutic strategy targeting systemic drivers of neurodegeneration, alongside a blood-based biomarker platform designed to enable earlier and more accurate diagnosis.

Dr Ricotti has an extensive background in academic medicine and translational research, with publications in prominent journals and multiple patents. She collaborates with leading international institutions, including UCL and Imperial College London, and is actively engaged in advancing the integration of artificial intelligence.
